Can The Munsters save NBC?

The struggling network has green-lighted a reboot of this classic sitcom from Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller.

Sources claim the new version will be an hour long and actually take this monster-filled family seriously, doing away with the campy feel of the black-and-white original and focusing on where Herman and company came from.

Revising yet another moribund franchise is not exactly the advice we offered to NBC, but, hey, we loved Pushing Daisies! Perhaps there's hope here.
