Liev Schreiber to Anchor New Showtime Series

Liev Schreiber is on his way to Showtime.

The veteran of the stage and the big screen has been cast in the title role of Ray Donovan, an upcoming drama about one of Hollywood's best "fixers," according to a network press release.

Donovan's job is to solve any and all problems that face the city's elite, as he specializes in making issues disappear... except "the ones created by his own family," Showtime teases.

Schreiber is a Tony Award winner and Emmy nominee and Ray Donovan will go into production in early 2012. No word yet on when the pilot will premiere.
