Sabrina Carpenter Cast as BFF on Girl Meets World

Girl Meets World has cast the new Shawn.

Sabrina Carpenter, who has guest-starred on Law & Order: SVU and who voices the princess in Sofia the First, will portray Maya Fox on the highly-anticipated Boy Meets World spinoff.

According to TV Line, the character will be the best friend of Cory and Topanga's teenage daughter, Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard).

The Girl Meets World pilot starts shooting next month. Disney Channel is yet to order the follow-up to series… but come on. Boy Meets World fans around the globe may revolt at this point if it fails to do so.
