at .

It’s one of those rich home entertainment release weeks when a little of everything is coming out on DVD and Blu-ray, which bodes well for stuffing those stockings or adding more gifts for under the tree.

(And if you haven’t checked out our Holiday Gift Guide, there are more great options there, too!)

So let’s dive in to this mix of time traveling doctors, werewolves, funny athletes and cartoon favorites, while also offering readers a special giveaway...

Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor: I wish every series that came out on home video had the same amount of love given to it. Not only do you get the tremendous episodes, but a plethora of extras include: the 50-year history laid out in Doctor Who Explained; behind the scenes interviews with everyone from Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman to David Tennant, Billie Piper and John Hurt; the Comic Con trailer; a Doctor Who 50th Anniversary tribute teaser trailer.

Better yet, BBC America sent over THREE DVD copies of Doctor Who: The Day Of The Doctor for us to giveaway, one each to three lucky TV Fanatics.

You must be 18 years or older and a U.S. resident and you enter before midnight PST on Monday, December 16. Just follow any or all of the following steps to enter - and good luck to all!

Teen Wolf Season 3/Vol 1: The third season of the MTV drama took the thrilling series to new heights with a new enemy in Deucalion, semi-evil twins (Charlie and Max Carver) and the usual mix of teen angst and romance.

The good news is that this is only the first half of season three (the second half starts on January 6) so we’ve got more adventures of Scott, Stiles, Derek, Lydia, Allison, Danny and Isaac coming our way. Besides 13 amazing episodes, you’ll also get deleted scenes, gag reels, return of the shirtless montage and a ‘Back to the Pack’ featurette.

The Simpsons Season 16: What’s more fun than our favorite animated family? The fabulous extras that go on each of the new home video releases and season 16 is no different. Audio commentaries for all episodes, bonus episodes, sketch galleries, Easter Eggs for the diehard fans as well as some great featurettes.

And if you’re a Matt Groenig fan, then you’ll be happy to know that Futurama: Volume 8 has also just come out on DVD and Blu-ray. Besides the entertaining 13 episodes, you’ll also get audio commentary on all episodes, deleted scenes, Futurama University featurette and Inside Futurama where you get to go inside the writers’ room for the show. Double your pleasure with both of these great animated releases!

The Game Season 6: The series has gotten a second life on BET and the laughs continue with NFL players and the ladies in their lives. In this season, we start with the excitement (and pressure) of NFL’s Premiere Draft Day that ends in a trade of longtime Saber Derwin Davis (played by Pooch Hall). Along with the sports stories, though, there’s always the relationship comedy and drama that comes up with our gang.

The latest DVD release includes all 19 episodes in the sixth season and while the extras are slim (gag reel and deleted scenes only), this show is obviously still a fan favorite.
