Life continues for survivors, but on The Bridge Season 2 Episode 1 the past is still very much a part of Marco, Sonya and Daniel's daily lives.
They each struggle to deal with the events that closed out The Bridge Season 1. Marco's son is dead and his wife has divorced him, Sonya continues to mourn the loss of her sister and Daniel investigates Daniela's disappearance while continuing to drink.
In addition to the characters carried over from the first season, Franka Potente joins the show as Fausto's accountant, Eleanor Nacht. She's a creepy and frightening person.
