Damon's gone. You need to say goodbye, too.

So Stefan imparts to Elena to kick off the first promo for The Vampire Diaries Season 6, released last night by The CW.

It features Elena struggling to move on from the supposed death of Damon, taking out her aggression on at least one poor soul and biting back in an act of sadness.... anger... desperation... vengeance.

She isn't in a good place. That much is certain.

Check out the teaser now and wait until the end for your first glimpse of Ian Somerhalder, as the status of Damon on Season 6 remains unclear.
