Aaron Sorkin’s polarizing series kicks off its final season at 9 p.m. that day, followed by The Comeback at 10 p.m. and the medical comedy Getting On at 10:30 p.m.

The Newsroom will wrap up its run with six episodes, while The Comeback stars Lisa Kudrow as Valerie Cherish, a struggling actress who has turned to reality television in order to remain relevant.

Kudrow was nominated for an Emmy for her work on the program, though it was canceled after just one season.

HBO is billing The Comeback as a "limited comedy series" and its return will include guest stars such as Malin Akerman and Kellan Lutz.

Getting On, meanwhile, features Laurie Metcalf, Niecy Nash and Alex Borstein as beleaguered employees of an elderly extended care facility.
