On The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 10, Caroline found out her mom has cancer... Enzo plotted to bring down Stefan (with the help of a captured/reluctant Matt)... and Kai soaked up all the Traveler magic before kidnapping Elena.

Where will things pick up in 2015?

The extended trailer for The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 11 ("Woke Up with a Monster"), makes it clear that Kai won't be going away any time soon (but he will, apparently, be going into the halls of Mystic Falls High School).

It also looks like we'll meet Sarah Salvatore, with Enzo threatening to out her identity and Stefan seeming to hold some sort of secret about his great nephew.

What could it be? Why hasn't he told Damon Sarah is alive?
