TV Ratings Report: Two and a Half Men Ends Strong, The Odd Couple Opens Strong

CBS enjoyed a solid Thursday night in the ratings game, as Two and a Half Men went out on top and The Odd Couple opened in strong fashion.

First, Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer said goodbye to 13.2 million viewers and a 3.1 rating among 18-49-year old, its best numbers in nearly two years.

Following The Big Bang Theory (17.2 million/4.4 rating), The Odd Couple premiered to 13.6 million people a 3.1 demographic rating, while Elementary (8.1 million/1.5) also ticked up for CBS.

Elsewhere around the dial...

  • ON NBC, The Slap (3.9 million/0.8) decreased by 23 and 27 percent from its premiere, while The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 12 (7.5 million/1.7) fell to its smallest audience ever, while Allegiance (3.4 million/0.9) rose two tenths... and will likely be canceled soon.
  • ON ABC, Grey’s Anatomy (8.1 million/2.5), Scandal Season 4 Episode 13 (9.5 million/3.2) and How to Get Away With Murder (8.8 million/2.8) all ticked up in both overall viewers and in the key demographic.
  • ON FOX, American Idol (8.9 million/2.1) slipped 7 percent in overall audience, while Backstrom (3.5 million/0.9) fell 20 and 25 percent, respectively.
  • ON THE CW, The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 15 (1.4 million/0.7) dropped in audience while matching last week’s series low demographic; and Reign (1 million/0.4) held firm.
