As Castle fans theorize over possible Season 8 storylines, news has emerged concerning the newest member of the cast.

Toks Olagundoye, best known for her role as Jackie Joyner-Kersee on ABC’s The Neighbors, has earned the role of Castle newcomer Hayley Vargas.

Olagundoye has also had guest roles on The Fosters, NCIS and Law & Order.

Although Hayley has previously been described as a former member of the LAPD, the latest update says she is “a quick-witted, free-spirited, former Scotland Yard police officer who works as a security specialist and is not afraid to cross lines to get things done.”
