Everything old is new again!
That's not an exaggeration, as it appears The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is about to be even fresher.
According to TV Line, talks of a reboot/revival are underway with the original star, Will Smith, paving the way for it to happen – from behind the scenes, at least.
It's still in the very early stages, apparently, but Smith's production company, Overbrook Entertainment, is moving in a direction that has sources very excited about the possibilities of a new spin on this old tale.
In the 1990s, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air ran for six seasons and launched the career of the then-rapper's career, so it would be interesting to see for whom he might want to repay the favor. With his backing, it would certainly be a great career opportunity!
It's unclear at this time if they're dabbling in a straight out reboot of the series, like Hawaii Five-0 or if it would be something like The X-Files/Girl Meets World, where the story continues, but with a newer generation of the family.
Either way, would you be up for the return of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air?
