We have all been very, VERY good this year, apparently! Or very, VERY bad. After watching The Originals Season 3 Episode 9, it could really go either way.

Last year's Christmas episode brought us a hotter Haylijah hookup than we ever could've dreamed and this year Klaus and Cami finally decided to stand under some mistletoe and make out!

And then we'll all promptly throw up the nog when we realize that Klaus woke up from a dead sleep covered in Cami's blood, and her throat had been slit, probably by that crazeball Aurora.

Let the speculation begin regarding Cami's fate, but you guys...how perfect was everything leading up to that moment?

Thank God for Rebekah! If it hadn't been for her playing Sebastian and telling Klaus to go on and kiss the girl, we might never have gotten to see Klamille happen!

Gah. I just...I love the way Cami sees the good in Klaus when everyone else wants to focus on the bad, and I love the way she brings that out of him. She might be drawn to his darkness because she has darkness within herself, but what they both do is bring out the absolute best in one another, and that's something I can get down with.

Klaus saved Detective Kinney from himself for no reason other than because Cami didn't want the man to suffer. Klaus could've killed him, or turned him, but instead he gave Kinney hope for a better tomorrow. Klaus set Kinney on a path to self-fulfillment and Cami watched and while that might be slightly weird foreplay it worked for the two of them.

I think if Klaus hadn't kissed Cami, she would've gone for it and kissed him, but man, that was such a great first kiss for them. Their little chuckles when it was over and the smile on her face. Man. I need to watch it again because seeing them happy made me happy, and yes, I realize this is television, and maybe it's the Merlot I've had tonight (aptly labeled "Joy"), but good gracious, I'm excited.

What I love about it is no doubt what some people will hate. They'll say there's no passion between them because he's not slamming her up against a wall, or they weren't ripping each other's clothes off.

To that I say give them time. She could survive this, and it could still happen. Right now the love between them is in their eyes and their smiles and their tenderness. It's beautiful. I love them together. I'm sold. And slightly heartbroken right now but mostly just reveling in the fact that we FINALLY got to see them acknowledge their feelings.

Now, if someone could just go ahead and stake Aurora already, that'd be great. (But I do want to know how Klaus slept through that. I've got to assume he would've heard or felt or smelled someone enter the room. I mean...)

Anyway.

It's always lovely to have Claire Holt back in the game. It's just too bad that her appearances are so few and far between. I love that they haven't killed her off, so we still get to have her visit, but it's tedious to have her show up for an episode here or there only to be conveniently daggered, and then she's gone for weeks or months.

BUT!

If Elijah daggering her truly fulfills the "family" part of the prophecy, then it's worth it. It's only for a year. She's been daggered for longer than that and walked away relatively unscathed. She can handle it.

Plus, being daggered by a Mikaelson implement is way better than being daggered by whatever witchy woo the Strix witch used. That thing has screwed her up for good unless Freya can figure out a way to reverse the curse for real.

I remain slightly confused on the Finn Mikaelson angle, guys. I'm not gonna lie. It's weird.

He died a vampire, but they all had the potential to become witches. Esther put him into a witch body, but his human spirit was sucked out of it and into Freya's necklace, so if he comes out, is he a witch? And why does he hate Vincent? Why is Vincent scared of him?

I don't get it. I think I need to watch it again, or we can hash it out in the comments or on Twitter.

It was pretty fantastic to watch Vincent claim his power in the gym when Marcel pushed him, and I loooooove that Marcel knows exactly what he's doing to move the chess pieces in the city. He showed Tristan his hand and didn't even flinch.

The Mikaelsons are playing at saving themselves, but Marcel's going to be the one to do it, and he'll save the entire city in the process. We need more Marcel in our lives. #Fact

Finally, the Jackson/Hayley/Elijah dynamic was addressed, sort of, in the winter finale.

Hayley has feelings for Elijah, but they're very, very complicated feelings, made more complicated by the fact that she also loves Jackson. They're both hot and have their own strong qualities, so it's easy to see how a girl could get stuck between them, you know?

It was great that Jackson was able to see that the Mikaelsons, for as screwed up as they are, they're a family and they defend one another and stick together. Whether he likes it or not, he's a part of that, and so is Hayley. It's best to figure out a way to make it work and be happy.

It is the holiday season, after all.
