Well, guys, there's good news and bad news.

Which do you want first? Well, the very worst news is delivered under separate cover. Castle is canceled. It has a post of its own. That's good and bad all itself.

American Crime, the anthology series following a new (usually heartbreaking) situation each season has been renewed for a third season. Shondalands's The Catch has been renewed, as well.

The Family, the midseason freshman drama starring Joan Allen, has been canceled, along with The Muppets and songfest Galavant. So has the beloved Marvel's Agent Carter starring Hayley Atwell.

 - Marvel's Agent Carter

Remember Marvel's Most Wanted, the Agents of SHIELD spinoff that has been trying for two years to make it? I think this time we can count it out for good. Stick a fork in it.

There is sun shining on some of the sadder news!

ABC has picked up Conviction, starring Hayley Atwell, to series!

Lawyer and former First Daughter Hayes Morrison (Atwell) is about to accept a job offered from her sexy nemesis, NY District Attorney Wayne Wallis, to avoid jail time for cocaine possession and avoid hurting her mother’s Senate campaign.

Working with his team at the new Conviction Integrity Unit will let her use her brilliant mind to turn over cases where there is credible suspicion of wrongful conviction, and give her a chance to turn things around with her high-powered political family.

In addition to Atwell, Conviction stars Eddie Cahill as Wayne Wallis, Shawn Ashmore as Sam Sullivan, Merrin Dungey as Maxine, Emily Kinney as Tess Thompson, Manny Montana as Franklin “Frankie” Rios and Daniel DiTomasso as Jackson Morrison.

This one sounds great, right? And very soap opera, which is right up ABC's alley!

Also picked up to series was another series from Shonda Rhimes, Still Star-Crossed.

Based on the book by Melinda Taub, Still Star-Crossed is a period drama that picks up where Romeo and Juliet left off, with all of the drama of the Montegues and Capulets in the wake of the tragedy of the young lovers.

The series stars Wade Brigg as Benvolio Montague, Anthony Head as Lord Silvestro Capulet, Zuleikha Robinson as Lady Guiliana Capulet, Lashana Lynch as Rosaline, Ebonee Noel as Livia, Sterling Sulieman as Prince Escalus, Medalion Rahimi as Princess Isabella, Grant Bowler as Damiano Montague, Susan Wooldrigde as Nurse, Torrance Coombs as Paris and Dan Hildebrand as Friar Lawrence.

Remember when we were sad we learned Torrance Coombs (Bash from Reign) was leaving the series? Well, now we know where he landed. In Shondaland. Not too shabby!

Time After Time has also been ordered to series.

The series is based upon the Karl Alexander book and the movie by the same name, about famed science fiction writer HG Wells, who is transporter to modern day New York City in pursuit of Jack The Ripper!

There, he finds a world he never thought possible and a woman who captivates him (of course).

Freddie Stroma UnREAL) is Wells, Josh Bowman (Revenge) is the Ripper, Genesis Rodriguez is Jane and Regina Taylor is Vanessa Anders.

Notorious has also been picked up, which reunites us with Piper Perabo and Daniel Sunjata.

They'll be playing fictional versions of real life famed criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker (who will be executive producers).

The stories will serve up stories featuring unique, dangerous and sexy interplay between the law and the media. Ooh la la!

Alrighty!

We think you're up to date on cancelations and renewals and pickups.

ABC Quotes

Aren’t we judged by how we treat people? I don’t mean as doctors. I mean as people. Especially those who don’t have the same advantages that we have. We hire Shaun and we give hope to those people with limitations that those limitations are not what they think they are. That they do have a shot! We hire Shaun and we make this hospital better for it. We hire Shaun and we are better people for it.

Why were you rude to me when we first met then nicer to me the second time we met and now you want to be my friend? Which time was it that you were pretending?
