ABC has revealed the first piece of Quantico Season 2 casting news.
According to multiple outlets, the drama will welcome British actor Russell Tovey this fall.
Best known in American for having appeared opposite Jonathan Groff on HBO’s Looking, Tovey will be a series regular when the suspenseful series returns.
Tovey will portray Harry Doyle, described by the network as a cross between Thomas Crown and a grown-up Arftul Dodger.
The character is “just as likely to seduce your husband as he is to pick his pocket when it’s over," reads a press release.
The role was specifically written with Tovey in mind.
"Ever since being introduced to him in The History Boys 10 years ago, I've hoped to work with Russell. It's been an honor for the writers and myself to be able to create this role specifically for him," showrunner Josh Safran told The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor now joins an ensemble cast led by Priyanka Chopra as FBI agent-turned-fugitive-turned-badass-for-hire Alex Parrish on one of broadcast television's most popular freshman shows last season.
It will air on Sundays at 10/9c in the fall and you can watch Quantico online via TV Fanatic to catch up at any time.
