ABC is looking to stay in business with Shonda Rhimes for at least one more year.

The network has handed out renewals for Grey's Anatomy Season 14, Scandal Season 7 and How to Get Away with Murder Season 4.

Funnily enough, there was never a doubt that either series would be canceled.

ABC president Channing Dungey noted that all three of the Shonadaland shows "continue to keep viewers on the edge of their seats and wanting more. I’m thrilled to bring back these shows and the OMG moments that come with them.”

The network tried to break up the TGIT brand in the fall when Notorious held the fort for Scandal, which was delayed to mid-season.

Unfortunately, Notorious failed to catch on and averaged fewer than 4 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in the all important 18-49 demo.

Through three episodes in the slot, Scandal Season 6 is averaging 6.8 million viewers and a 1.8 rating.

The series took a hit by having the lengthy hiatus, but it is still a force to be reckoned with.

In addition, the series is on a huge creative upswing this year with the results of the election and shifting alliances.

How to Get Away with Murder has lost a lot of steam this season, but the hype surrounding the murder of Wes sent the ratings soaring when it returned a few weeks ago.

Season 3 is down almost 30 percent, averaging 4.5 million viewers and a 1.3 rating. The show does get a sizable bump in DVR ratings.

Maybe the show is getting too serialized for some fans. The way the storylines are going makes it seem like the show could be set to reboot for Season 4.

Grey's Anatomy, however, has actually bucked the trend and is currently on the plus side year-to-year. Season 13 is currently averaging 8.2 million viewers and a 2.2 rating.

The series currently ranks as the most watched series in total viewers for the network.
