The Americans Season 5 Trailer: Jennings Spy Camp Open for Business!

FX promotes their programs with some of the best teasers on television.

We've been watching amazing vignettes for weeks now featuring the Jennings family going about their normal business, but with low flying aircraft blowing by overhead.

I don't know if I've picked up the meaning correctly, but my interpretation is the family brought the business to their suburban home in order to teach Paige how to survive in their new world.

The training scene is effective in many ways, not only because we also hear Elizabeth and Philip saying how difficult it's going to be, that she can't handle it and there are things they can show her.

But she has to be willing to do ANYTHING to protect herself.

It's effective because of the look on Keri Russell's face as she projects the feelings Elizabeth has watching Paige train. 

Pride like only a mother can have for her daughter.

Claudia and Frank share highly different opinions on their wards.

"Those two aren't afraid of anything."

"Those two are afraid of everything."

It's probably the combination of both that has kept the Jennings alive for so long.

The tension is built up in the trailer, and it's clear the FBI is closing in on the Soviets who have been keeping watch on American soil.

Will Stan finally realize the very people he seeks have been living right under his nose for years? 

If he's worried about someone getting killed on a mission, would he still be a possible target for the Jennings to turn to their side of things?

It doesn't even matter. The Americans reflects the best cat and mouse game ever portrayed on television, and as each season has been better than the last, we have only the highest hopes for The Americans Season 5.
