The fight is on to save Elijah's life on The Originals Season 4 Episode 10, but will it be a successful mission?

Fittingly, Daniel Gilles directed "Phantomesque," and something tells me it would be a cruel twist of fate to let him direct the episode his character was killed off.

The official logline from The CW certainly gives a lot away from what is sure to be an episode packed to the brim with family drama.

It reads:

After the devastating events of the previous episode, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) requests that his estranged siblings Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) and Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) return home to stand by their family against The Hollow.

Meanwhile, Freya (Riley Voelkel) recruits Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) for a dangerous journey that will put both their lives at risk - but may be the sole means of saving someone they love.

Elsewhere, tensions rise when Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) leads a hunt for The Hollow - putting him on a collision course with the person he was least prepared to face.

Finally, as Kol continues to mourn the loss of Davina, he is forced to consider the lengths he'd go to see her again.

Sounds exciting, right?

It makes sense to have Rebekah and Kol back in the mix. It's not like they could say goodbye for good to Elijah with half of his remaining siblings MIA.

With Elijah trapped in the pendant, the mission Freya reels Hayley into must be the one from the official teaser for the episode.

I'm all for Elijah being saved, but if Hayley is the one to do so, it's only going to bring them closer together.

Producers teased that Claire Holt would be with The Originals Season 4 for about half of the season. This means Rebekah may be sticking around for the final few episodes of the season.
