Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 13 Episode 13 Review: 1313

It may be Caitlyn's world, but the Kardashians don't want to live in it.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 13 Episode 13 showed the family fighting back against the claims in Caitlyn Jenner's new book. They might just be bitter she didn't spell Caitlyn with a K, but I think it's enough to never put her on the show again (after this episode).

Kendall Jenner is Angry - Keeping Up with the Kardashians

Jay Leno makes his first (and presumably last) appearance on KUWTK in the cold open with Caitlyn and Kendall. He's filming an episode of Jay Leno's Garage with Kendall and managed to make a Prada reference to be #relatable.

The rest of the family is hanging out with each other instead of talk show hosts (such a bummer that Kimmel or Fallon weren't eating giant salads with them in the kitchen).

The only thing more surprising than seeing Kim and Kourtney eat ice cream was hearing that Rob slept with someone who won a "Kim Kardashian look alike contest." Ew.

It's clear from the beginning that this episode is all about Caitlyn, and her new memoir.

And Khloe's cramps.

Khloe: Honestly it feels like you can someone inside your stomach trying to get out of it.
Rob: Ah! The aliens are going to get me!

Kim calls Cait for a copy of her memoir, and she hand-delivers it the next day.

Caitlyn promises that she is telling the truth in her book, but you can tell Kim is skeptical after everything she heard Caitlyn wrote about Kris. I can't say I blame her.

I'll let you know if I'll still be speaking to you after I read this book.

Kim

Kim skims reads Caitlyn's book, and tells Kourtney how bad Caitlyn makes Kris look throughout it. From accusations about Kris stealing her money to Caitlyn taking credit for the show, Kim is not having it and defending her mother.

If only Keeping Up with the Kardashians started filming 20 years ago and they had proof. (Something Kris Jenner probably thinks on a daily basis).

The show's not called Keeping Up with the Jenners.

Kim

One of the more interesting accusations made in the memoir was that Kris would pocket the money Caitlyn made as an inspirational speaker in the 2000s. If you watched KUWTK from the beginning, you saw the drama between Kris and Caitlyn about money unfold during the early seasons.

Kim argued that Kris and Caitlyn were struggling to pay their bills and Kris was just trying to be responsible with their money and income. Kourtney backed Kim up and said they borrowed money from her at one point too. (It's unclear what her job was back then... if only the Kardashians were on LinkedIn.)

From what we saw on the show, Kris was definitely controlling and wouldn't let Caitlyn be in charge of their finances, but she was also responsible for booking the speaking engagements that Caitlyn was making money on to begin with. And they were partners at the time.

Long story short, Kris has been making 10 percent off of her family since forever, but she pretty much deserves it for making them all rich and famous.

Bruce Jenner money

In my opinion, it's sad to see how everything has unfolded with Caitlyn and the Kardashians. I'm happy that Caitlyn got to transition and live the life she always wanted, but it's weird to me that that life doesn't include the kids she helped raise.

There was always countless references to Bruce promising Robert Kardashian Sr. that he would be there for Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob right before he died. Their respective relationships with Bruce as a step-father seemed very genuine throughout the years, and I personally think Caitlyn is rewriting history.

I don't know if it's to sell books or what she really believes, but something isn't adding up here. Maybe the whole family should get together and have a marathon of KUWTK to see where it all went wrong and do some fact-checking.

She literally started three families with three different people and fucked everyone over.

Kim

Kim brings up Caitlyn's other divorces and struggles with her other kids, and I think that explains a lot too. If only The Hills was still on so we could get Brody Jenner's perspective. (And Lauren Conrad's... just for fun).

In an effort to understand more about what it's like to come out as transgender, Kourtney, Khloe, Kim and Kendall meet with Prince Manvendra, a gay prince from India who struggled with the decision to come out because it was not socially acceptable and because he was married to a woman he cared about.

His story is heartbreaking and inspiring, and I'm glad he agreed to come on the show. I also agree with the girls that Caitlyn could have learned a thing or two from him.

It's time for Kendall to react to Caitlyn's book, and she is visibly upset to hear about what her dad said about Kris and the Kardashians. I wish we got to hear from Kylie too, but I guess I'll have to tune into "Life of Kylie." for that.

Regardless, I think it's safe to say no one is buying "The Secrets of My Life" by Caitlyn Jenner for Christmas this year.

At the end of the day, she raised the Kardashians.

Kendall

And Kendall will continue to take modeling jobs all over the world. There's no excuse quite like "I'm in a different time zone" to get out choosing between going to your mom or dad's house for Thanksgiving.
