The Fosters continues to quietly break barriers.
The Fosters Season 5 Episode 4 will thoughtfully expound upon its transgender storyline(s) when Callie and Aaron consider taking the next step in their relationship, and Cole returns for a visit.
The episode will also revisit Jesus' battle with impotency , Brandon's savior complex upon his ex-girlfriend's return, and Mariana's latest secret.

18. Calm Mom - The Fosters Season 5 Episode 4
Lena has admitted to being afraid of Jesus as a result of his violent outbursts. Unfortunately, those may not be going away anytime soon. As the friction between Brandon and Jesus comes to a boiling point, they may just come to blows.
19. Stef's Work Is Never Done - The Fosters Season 5 Episode 4
It has been a while since The Fosters has shown a classic one-on-one Ste and Brandon scene. With Brandon's ex, Courtney, popping up again and needing help, and Grace feeling jealous, will Brandon go to Stef for advice?

After near-death experiences, legal troubles, and so much more, it's nice to see Callie deal with simpler problems. Something along the lines of whether or not she's ready to have sex with her new boyfriend.
