A new doctor is making her way to the halls of Seattle Grace, and she will be ruffling a few feathers in the process.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Stefania Spampinato has landed a multi-episode arc on the veteran ABC medical sudser as Carina DeLuca.

That surname may ring a bell because the character shares it with none other than Giacomo Gianniotti’s Andrew DeLuca.

According to the report, Carina will be playing a new doctor at Grey Sloan, and her arrival will pave the way for a lot of family drama when she is reunited with her brother.

“This year, we’re going to definitely have DeLuca’s character a little more fleshed out with the arrival of his sister from Italy,” Gianniotti tells EW.

“We’re going to see a new dynamic in the hospital as his sister arrives, and it’s not exactly good news; he’s frustrated by it.”

“She has a very interesting and controversial — some would say — profession within the medical field, which makes him uncomfortable,” Gianniotti continues.

“It’s a thorn in his side, her being there, but everybody else is quite fond of her. She will be working [at the hospital], and she’s going to help tell the story of DeLuca and how he comes from Italy."

"They’re going to speak a little bit of Italian, which will be nice for the Italian fans, because [the show’s] so big in Italy.”

We're all for the character being fleshed out, but do we really need more family drama in the hospital?

Andrew is a decent enough character, so let's hope the drama thrown in is fresh and exciting.

There has been a lot of casting scoop of late for Grey's Anatomy what with the news that Marika Dominczyk and Jerrika Hinton are out of the upcoming season.

We do know that Kim Raver and Mathew Morrison are on tap to return, while Abigail Spencer will take over the role of Megan from Bridget Regan.
