With just a few weeks left till the This Is Us Season 2 premiere, NBC is reminding us just how much we've missed the Pearsons with these first-look photos from Episode 1.

Not much can be picked up from these photos in terms of the show's plot but we do know that, as always, there will be a mix of emotions. And yes, you will cry.

The season will focus heavily on the aftermath of Jack and Rebecca's first fight as they try to find a way back to each other.

There's also the lingering question that we hope finally gets addressed: how did Jack die?

Check out the official stills from This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1 below and join us on September 26th as we review the full episode.

You can watch This Is Us online right here to make sure you're all caught up with season 1!

1. Brokenhearted - This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1

Season 1 ended with heartbreak for the couple that we all thought was untouchable. Rebecca was so disappointed with Jack's behavior she kicked him out of the house. Season 2 picks up the day after the separation and since it's uncertain how and when they'll work it out, you can expect to see her in this dismal state.

2. Family Movie Night - This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1

Sometimes, a family movie night is all you need to clear your head. While everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, Kate looks upset and I'm guessing it's because Jack isn't present. She's always had a strong bond with her father and remember, even in the present-day, she blames herself for his untimely death.

3. Will She Forgive Me? - This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1

Since Jack's jealousy caused the separation, he's really the one that has to put in the effort to fix it. If there's any hope for them, Jack has to go out of his way to make amends and Rebecca has to find it in herself to forgive him.

4. Love Is In The Air - This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1

Kate and Toby's relationship is on the right path but don't expect them to get married anytime soon. They love each other, they want to be with each other but we can all agree, they have a long way to go. Before fully committing, they have to get to know each other and themselves.

5. It's a Twin Thing - This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1

During season 1, Kevin was like a lost puppy, always relying on Kate for to make the big decisions for him. Eventually, he manned up and both of them got a grasp on their individual lives exploring new careers and romantic relationships. How will this affect their sibling dynamic? Are they still as inseparable?

6. Toby vs. Kevin - This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1

Aside from her father, Kevin and Toby are two of the most important men in Kate's life so why are they in such a heated conversation? Are they arguing over who loves her more or are they concerned that she's finally following her passion and pursuing a singing career?

7. Big Three Birthday - This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1

The season is supposed to pick up with the Big Three's 37th birthday but since Randall is notoriously absent from the photo, the occasion seems far from celebratory. Is he still coping with William's death?

8. Trouble In Paradise? - This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1

Randall has had a tough year with finding out that his mother lied to him about knowing his real father's identity and then getting to know William briefly before his passing. This season will see him debating his own adoption with Beth, which will likely challenge their marriage and have him turning to Rebecca for advice.

This Is Us Season 2 Episode 1 Quotes

I said no. But your father was so sure I was tired and I was grieving and he just kept pushing me. He was so determined that you were meant to be. Meant to be ours. Sometimes, in marriage, someone has to be the one to push to make the big moves. And oftetimes in our marriage, yes, it was your father. Our marriage wasn't perfect, it's true, but none are. And your father wasn't perfect either, but he was pretty damn close. As close as they come. He pushed a stranger on me, and the stranger became my child and that child became my life. He became you."

Rebecca

I'm a 37-year-old woman. And I shouldn't need to be pushed or coddled. Not by a man, not by my husband, not by my brother, not by anyone!
