Legends of Tomorrow has had a bit of a revolving door with cast members since its inception, but it still sucks when a much-loved character is gearing up for an exit.
Garber first appeared as Professor Martin Stein on The Flash before moving to the spin-off when it launched in January 2016, and he has proven to be an integral member of the team since.
He forms half of the superhero team that makes up Firestorm, and if you watch Legends of Tomorrow online, you will know already that Garber has a lot of fun in the role.
The show is much lighter than the other series in the Flarrowverse, and that's likely why fans love it so much.
Even when serious storylines occur on the show, there are always comical elements to bring the light back. According to the report, Garber wanted to leave the show earlier this year.
The main reason is that Garber is making a return to Broadway after some time away. He is slated to replace David Hyde Pierce as Horace Vandergelder in the Tony Award-winning production of Hello, Dolly!
It was recently confirmed that Bernadette Peters was replacing Bette Midler on the production.
Considering the fact that Legends of Tomorrow shoots in Vancouver and his new role means he will primarily be in New York City, the end of the line for Garber on Legends was essentially confirmed by his casting.
There's no set end date for Garber's character as of yet, but he is expected to appear in most of the episodes before his big farewell.
Legends of Tomorrow returned last night, and there were some big shocks for the characters. You can read our review of the episode right here.
