Sofia Carson is the latest actress to board Freeform's The Perfectionists.
The network confirmed Monday that Carson will take on the role of Ava, “a beautiful trendsetting blogger and coder, who strives to be a fashion icon.”
It sure sounds like she could fit in with the likes of Hanna Marin and Mona Vanderwaal from Pretty Little Liars.
As previously reported, The Perfectionists book series is being adapted into a spinoff of the hit drama series that wrapped up in 2017.
Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish will lead the cast of the offshoot which has received a pilot order at the young-skewing network.
According to the official description of the series, "Everything about the town of Beacon Heights seems perfect, from their top-tier college to their overachieving residents. But nothing in Beacon Heights is as it appears to be."
"The stress of needing to be perfect leads to the town’s first murder. Behind every Perfectionist is a secret, a lie and a needed alibi."
It sounds like the perfect town for Alison and Mona to stop by, right? If you watch Pretty Little Liars online, you will know that the pair has never been friends.
With that said, it should be fun to see just how the two women cross paths. Will their relationship have changed somewhat since unmasking A and ending the game?
Carson is probably best known for her role in Disney Channel's Descendants movie series.
In addition to the potential spinoff, Carson has also signed up to appear on Famous In Love Season 2, debuting April on the network.
That series follows Paige Townsend, who finds herself thrust to stardom after snagging a starring role in a hit young adult movie series.
Carson will play the character of Sloane who is the daughter of a movie mogul.
