Sarah Drew may be leaving Grey's Anatomy behind, but the actress took to social media on Tuesday to say something to fans:

Don't mess with my co-worker!

Grey's Anatomy Season 14 has brought Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams), and we think it's fair to say that it's been a controversial pairing.

Exasperated April - Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 14

Fans have been all over social media complaining about the romance, and many have aimed negative comments at McCreary.

“I know these characters mean so much to you — believe me, they mean a lot to me, too — but I do not feel defended when you attack my friends,” Drew wrote.

“My beautiful, loving, loyal sister, Kelly, is a brilliant, fiercely talented team player who ALWAYS shows up and dedicates herself to the stories she is asked to tell."

"Please stop attacking her for doing her job. When you hurt her, you hurt me. When you show kindness to her, you show kindness to me."

"Please be Kind," the actress concluded.

This news comes just months after it was revealed Sarah and Jessica Capshaw were fired from the ABC drama series. Both actresses are due to bow out in the season finale, airing May 17.

That news was not met with the best response from fans. Drew rebounded quickly with a starring role in the Cagney and Lacey reboot which is in the works at CBS.

It's unclear what Capshaw's next move is, but we're still shocked over here at how both actresses have been let go. There was even a rumor that the casting decision was linked to Ellen Pompeo's salary bump.

Alas, it's not been a great few months for fans of Grey's Anatomy because of the exits hanging over the show. The official trailer for Grey's Anatomy Season 14 Episode 23 shows one character in a dire situation.
