Anne Heche is sticking with NBC during the 2018-19 season.
According to Deadline, the actress has landed a significant recurring role on Chicago P.D. Season 6 as Dep. Superintendent Katherine Brennan.
The character is described as someone who is intelligent, to the point, and most importantly, a formidable opponent to whomever she goes up against.
Chicago P.D. Season 5 ended with Voight being put in the firing line for the shooting he was involved in after the death of Olinsky, and it resulted in him being questioned by his superiors.
If you watch Chicago P.D. online, you know that Voight has never been one to mince words, but it will surely make for more layers to be pulled back as he is put in a position in which his power and influence will not help him.
While there's no confirmation whether Voight and Katherine will be at odds with each other, it would make sense. There's a lot up in the air for Voight, and we're sure he's going to be in more trouble than ever when the drama returns to NBC later this year.
As for Heche, it means she will be staying put with the network. She had a lead role on The Brave during the 2017-18 season, but the show was not a big enough hit in the ratings to return for another season.
Anne has appeared on several TV shows throughout her time as an actress. She has had roles on Men In Trees, Nip/Tuck and Everwood.
As Chicago P.D. enters its sixth season, the peacock network has decided to schedule all three Chicago series together on Wednesday nights in a #OneChicago block.
It remains to be seen whether there will be viewer fatigue as a result of airing Chicago Fire, Med and P.D. back-to-back.
