Floribama Shore Renewed for Season 3 at MTV - What's the Catch?

at .

It's been a tense few months for fans of MTV's Floribama Shore.

The hit reality show concluded its second season back in February, and there's been radio silence from the cabler about the show's future.

Until now.

Bye, Candace! - Floribama Shore

Deadline is reporting that the Jersey Shore spinoff is indeed returning for a third season, with production slated to get underway this summer for a fall launch.

Jeremiah Buoni, Codi Butts, Kortni Gilson, Aimee Hall, Kirk Medas, Nilsa Prowant, Candace Rice, and Gus Smyrnios are slated to return for Floribama Shore Season 3, meaning all the original cast members will be back.

That's somewhat surprising given that more than one seemingly wanted to leave the shore behind at the close of Floribama Shore Season 2.

Jeremiah Not Amused - Floribama Shore

If you watch Floribama Shore online, you know the cast members fight on the show like cat and mouse, but when all is said and done, they manage to put the bad things aside.

There will be one big change during the new episodes:

Panama City Beach, Florida, is no longer the filming location. Instead, the cast is heading 350 miles southeast to St. Petersburg, Florida.

Aimee Pleads for Forgiveness - Floribama Shore

There's no reason given for the move, but there's a good chance it's down to the blowout fight the cast have had in the bars in the Panama Beach vicinity.

That could explain the delay from MTV in officially renewing the series. Alas, we'll likely get more intel as we get closer to the premiere date.
