Tensions were at an all-time high on Thursday's episode of Big Brother.
It kicked off with Tommy and Holly on the block, and Jackson realized that Cliff and Nicole were starting to warm to the idea of keeping Tommy over Holly.
For Jackson, that meant his love interest would be going home during his reign as Head of Household.
In one of the season's most exhilarating moments, we actually got some gameplay.
He listened in on a conversation in Tommy promised Nicole and Cliff to work with them to get Jackson out of the house after Holly.
Jackson then used this to his advantage and told Nicole and Cliff that Tommy offered to work with him to take out Cliff at the next round and then take Nicole to the final three because they could both win against her.
This was understandably a ballsy move and one that had a heavy emotional impact on Nicole.
She's struggled for much of the season to win competitions, and only recently started winning them.
She decided that the only way to get to the truth was to call a house meeting to have Jackson and Tommy hash out their differences.
That did happen on Thursday -- ahead of the live eviction.
As such, there was a slight teaser tacked on to the episode, and it looked super tense.
In the end, Nicole and Cliff made the bizarre decision to vote out Tommy. It's possible that they realized they should honor their final four with Jackson and Holly for jury votes.
They likely understood that Tommy would have a guaranteed vote in Christie no matter who he wound up at the end with.
Tommy was visibly upset at being cut short but complimented Jackson for playing Big Brother.
When the episode concluded, the latest endurance competition was in play, and it was down to Cliff, Nicole, and Holly.
Just moments after the episode concluded, the feeds went live, and Cliff and Holly had already dropped down, meaning Nicole is the new Head of Household.
While Nicole has solidified her place in the final three, there's no telling whether her ride or die will be so lucky.
Nicole will likely nominate Jackson and Holly for eviction, but it's all down to the veto next week.
Who do you want to win the veto and have the sole vote to evict?

Be sure to tune in to Sunday's episode because the full house meeting will be playing out!
