Insatiable Gets Season 2 Premiere Date at Netflix

Netflix's controversial series Insatiable will be back on the streamer for its sophomore season this October.
The streamer has revealed that the series will return Friday, October 11, launching all episodes of its second season at once -- over a year after the freshman run's August 2018 launch.
Debby Ryan leads the cast of Insatiable, starring as Patty Bladell, a young woman who was being bullied by those around her because of her weight.
Her peers went as far as calling her "Fatty Patty," but Patty's life changed forever when her jaw was wired shut following an injury.
In the aftermath, she was miraculously thin, returning to school to get some payback on those who made her feel bad about herself.
Bob Armstrong was also part of the cast as a disgraced attorney with aspirations of coaching beauty pageant contestants to success.
He wanted to give her legal counsel with the aim of turning her into a pageant queen. Christopher Gorham (Covert Affairs) and Alyssa Milano (Charmed) also star.

Insatiable Season 2 will bring Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Vincent Rodriguez III, as well as Grey's Anatomy's Alex Landi into the fold.
However, neither of their roles have been disclosed, meaning fans will need to tune in to find out what brings them to the comedy series.
The series has been a controversial one for Netflix. It garnered backlash the moment the trailer dropped with people bashing the show's supposed endorsement of fat-shaming.

A petition to have the series canceled later clocked over 200,000 signatures.
“We knew that this conversation needed to be had. We knew that this societal brokenness needed to be addressed, but we didn’t know how badly it needed to be addressed,” Ryan told Teen Vogue following the controversy.
Ryan added that she understood the criticism: “My friend, a few days before the trailer hit, in reference to something else, said, ‘The size of the reaction is the size of the wound,’ and it stayed with me.”
The first season has just a 13% percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
