NCIS Season Premiere Photos: Should We Be Worried About Ziva?

If there's one takeaway for the NCIS Season 17 Episode 1 photos, it's that we should probably be worried about Ziva.

CBS has dropped some stills from the upcoming season premiere, and we get to see the returning Cote de Pablo in action.

Both Ziva and Gibbs look a bit worse for wear in the above photo, leading us to believe they are going to get caught up in a fight to the death.

This is all thanks to the new person who is trying to take them down.

But how do they both wind up in this environment?

That's still up for debate.

Thanks to the official trailer for NCIS Season 17, we know that a mysterious female who was chasing Ziva is now after Gibbs.

That's probably why Ziva showed up on NCIS Season 16 Episode 24 -- to warn her former friend about the impending doom.

We're sure there will be a lot they have to say to each other, but as Ziva stated in that episode, they really have no time for pleasantries if they want to survive.

The good thing about this installment is that it will feature the two fan-favorites fighting alongside one another against their foes.

It's unclear whether the mysterious location the duo are at will help or hinder their mission, but this being NCIS, there will be no shortage of danger.

One thing we can rule out is Ziva meeting her maker. Fans reacted negatively when she was apparently killed off in an explosion back in 2013.

Also, we know that Ziva is slated to appear in two more episodes later in the season.

Could a reunion between her and Tony be on the cards? That would be great.

In any case, you may be wondering what the rest of the team is doing while this is going down.

Thankfully, it seems as though they are searching for both Gibbs and Ziva, so there's that.
