Terry Kinney’s character was killed off The Mentalist two weeks; but the CBS drama is wasting no time in finding a new character to come on board the show.
Aunjanue Ellis has joined the cast of the hit series in a recurring role. She’ll portray the new head of the California Bureau of Investigation, installed following the death of Bosco and the resignation of the unit’s supervisor, Virgil Minelli.
Ellis is a veteran of the small screen.
She’s most recently been seen on episodes of The Good Wife and True Blood and will premiere on The Mentalist in early 2010.
