When it comes to capturing small-town charm, Best Medicine knows how to hit the mark.
Speaking of Mark, the series also excels at capturing the awkwardness of small-town life.
And we’re pretty great at sharing the wealth when we score exclusive sneak peeks!

If you’ve been following along with Best Medicine, then you know that Sheriff Mark Mylow has been having a bit of a tough time ever since he and Louisa broke up.
He thought they’d get married and spend the rest of their lives together, and then, suddenly, life and, well, Louisa, had other plans.
It’s sad in a way, but it’s also just the way things work out, and it’s resulted in some fascinating interactions and vulnerable moments for the two.
Mark has had to learn to navigate the world and their small town without Louisa, and to avoid being defined by the relationship they had together.
Essentially, he didn’t just lose Louisa as a romantic partner; in some ways, he felt he had lost his best friend.

Fortunately, the latter bit the two have been able to put behind them, and it’s evident they can still be close friends with each other, even when it hurts.
But for Mark? He took the more traditional route when moving on from Louisa.
What’s the saying again? Oh, right: The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.
Well, as we know, Mark has taken that to heart, spreading that goofy charm of his all over Port Wenn.
But in our exclusive clip, it seems like that may have just caught up with him in the most uncomfortable ways.
And his reward? Oh, it’s getting to have awkward conversations about his sex life with his mother and Aunt Sarah.

In this absolutely hilarious clip, we see Mark—bless his heart —donning sunglasses as he tries to hide his face while approaching the counter to speak to his mother.
Remember when we talked about some of the pitfalls of small-town life? Can you think of anything worse than having to go to your MOTHER for your pharmaceutical needs?
When everyone knows each other, there’s no such thing as privacy.
Apparently, Mark’s gallivanting around trying to mend his broken heart has resulted in him contracting an STI. Oops!
Our beloved town sheriff has a case of chlamydia, and now he has the misfortune of getting his script filled by none other than his own mother.

You’d think that would be the ultimate humiliation.
But if that wasn’t embarrassing and awkward enough, Sally immediately recognizes what it is and what it’s for, and offers her input.
And Aunt Sarah even chimes in, too.
This conversation doesn’t go even remotely close to how you’d imagine, but that’s what makes it so hilarious, so check it out!
Best Medicine returns tonight with an all-new episode.
The hour is titled “Eyewitness Blues,” and it’s an absolutely hilarious ordeal as Port Wenn gears up to celebrate another one of its unusual events.
Port Wenn is preparing to celebrate its annual Blueberry Festival, which will feature a competition to make the best blueberry pie.
But Martin will be more distracted by treating a man in town who is quite literally blue.
It seems he turned blue from eating too many blueberries, but surely there’s more to the story than that, right?
The hour will also have Martin concerned about Aunt Sarah’s health and her lack of attention to it.

And TV Fanatic had the privilege of speaking to the legendary Annie Potts about the episode and more.
Check back in for that as well!
As usual, we’ll have you covered with a full review of the hour.
Best Medicine returns tonight at 8/7c on FOX, followed by Doc.
