When a pool of blood is discovered at a home, the murder takes Sherlock back into the past when Moriarity resurfaces. When Holmes goes behind the NYPD’s back to find “M” he decides that he is going to torture and kill him. The man Sherlock suspects to be “M” is not him and instead is a hit man hired by Moriarity himself. When Holmes discovered that Irene’s death was not caused by the hitman, he keeps him alive to use him as a clue to find the real Moriarity. Watson struggles with leaving Holmes and asks her father for an extension that is declined. Joan lies to Sherlock and says that his father is allowing her to stay.
