Former Family Ties star Justine Bateman will guest star on ABC’s Private Practice this fall, according to Fancast. She’ll play a single mother of a child diagnosed with autism.
On the second episode of the upcoming fourth season, her character has managed her son’s condition fine thus far, but new developments prompt her to seek expertise.
Some of Justine Bateman’s more recent TV credits include guest-starring turns on Psych, Californication, Desperate Housewives and an extended run on Men In Trees.

Other announced Private Practice guest stars include French Stewart and Currie Graham, who TV Guide reports will play brothers in the September 23 season opener.
