But Christmas is the season of miracles and some characters really need a break.

Amanda Rollins – Law & Order: SVU
Amanda’s surprise pregnancy and on-again off-again relationship with her cheating, sleazy baby daddy is bad enough, but the horrific things she’s seen on the job are leaving her wondering what kind of world she’s bringing a new child into and fearing that she did the wrong thing by deciding to keep the baby.
The Gonzalez Family – Murphy Brown
It was a sad Thanksgiving for the Gonzalez family when Immigrations and Customs Enforcement arrested the parents, who have been in the US without proper paperwork for decades, and sent them back across the border. Miguel seems to be doing okay now that he’s in the US by himself, but this family could use a miracle reunion.
Sean Reagan – Blue Bloods
The youngest Reagan seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle, and now that big brother Jack has gone off to college, he’s been doing some acting out. The kid just lost his mother a year ago, too.
Kayla Brady – Days of Our Lives
It’s been months since Steve was whisked away and charged with treason because of hackers taking advantage of his bionic eye to access classified documents. Now Steve’s finally out of jail but refusing to come home until he proves that Stefan Dimera was behind the hacking, leaving Kayla feeling guilty about the deal she made with Stefan to get that eye and restore Steve’s sight. Plus, she’s been asked to keep the fact that Abigail is only pretending to have had a relapse of her mental illness secret and is the doctor of record for her friend and Horton family matriarch Julie, who is in a coma thanks to a fall down the steps related to Gabi’s gaslighting Abigail.
Matt Mahoney – Madam Secretary
All of Elizabeth’s staff have their ups and downs, but Matt seems to have more downs than the others. He’s always worrying about whether his speeches are good enough and he’s jealous of his long-distance girlfriend’s relationship with her commanding officer.
Oscar Nero – General Hospital
It’s awful enough for a teenager to be saddled with an inoperable brain tumor. But for him to learn that his mother knew about it for a long time and didn’t want to tell him was devastating. This kid definitely needs a miracle.
June Osborne – Handmaid’s Tale
It was devastating for viewers as well as for June when she had to make the heartwrenching choice to stay behind in Gilead and send her baby to safety without her.
Kevin Atwater – Chicago PD
Nothing is ever easy for anyone on Voight’s squad, but Kevin Atwater’s had it particularly rough. He finally met a woman he clicked with, only for it to turn out that she was an accessory to murder years ago. The State’s Attorney’s office insisted on pressing charges despite her willingness to go undercover, leaving Atwater single and broken-hearted — and driving him to illegally destroy evidence to stop a young boy important to her from suffering a similar fate.
Archie Andrews – Riverdale
Archie has spent most of fall 2018 in jail for a murder he didn’t commit, where he’s being forced into violent fights fore the entertainment of the warden and barred from seeing his girlfriend thanks to Hiram Lodge’s influence in the jail system.
Ben Stone – Manifest
It’s been rough for all of the Flight 828 passengers to discover that they lost five and a half years of their lives and the world has moved on without them. Now that Ben has lost his marriage on top of almost losing his son to a mysterious illness and his obsession with the mysteries surrounding the flight has gone nowhere, he could really use a miracle.
Cisco Ramon – The Flash
On top of losing his girlfriend, Cisco is losing his health every time he uses his powers thanks to an attack by Cicada. His refusal to stop helping the team could literally kill him, leaving viewers in need of a miracle if Cisco doesn’t get one soon.
