We compare our friends to the ones on television and try to find the similarities. Sometimes we do and it’s spot on. We’ve all got a friend who’s a Charlotte…or a Samantha.

Jess and CeCe are lucky ladies. They managed to find the some super cool guys to shack up with. Nick, Winston, and Schmidt never fail to provide laughs and come through for the girls in a pinch. Plus, who wouldn’t want to join the loft in a game of True American?
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine Precinct
Co-workers who are also best friends? It shouldn’t work. But this squad gives us all the feels when they roll in to save the day. Between Jake and Amy’s romance, Hitchcock and Scully’s bromance, and Terry’s occasion freak-outs, there are goals all over the place in the Nine-Nine.

We all strive to be the Friends. Hanging out in a kick-ass NYC apartment, drinking coffee, telling jokes, and listening to each other’s dating stories? Having friends like these would be perfection!

When Yolanda moved in across the hall, she, Gabbi and Sofia created a solid lady squad. They help each other with dating, disastrous hi-jinks, and desserts. We can only hope to find a group of besties to make us feel all the feels and bake up a chocolate cake for us too.
The Winchesters and Castiel on Supernatural
They may be chasing down supernatural demons every week, but back at the bunker, Dean, Sam, and Cas know how to have fun. Beers, burgers, and Netflix marathons are at the top of their list. Plus, wouldn’t we all love that one friend who could LITERALLY pull us out of Hell if needbe?
Taystee’s Crew on Orange is the New Black
Yeah, they’re in jail. But Taystee, Poussey, Crazy Eyes, and their friends keep it real and stick together. They’re brutally honest with each other and aren’t afraid to hurt each other’s feelings to get thier point across. They also protect one another and make the most of their time in jail, finding fun in the boring stuff. If we ever go to prison, we hope we find a squad like this!
The Life and Death Brigade on Gilmore Girls
In Omnia Paratus! Rory Gilmore made us envious when she stumbled upon the Life and Death Brigade at Yale. Guys and girls who keep their friendship super-secret, but super tight, and are up for anything, any time of day. Wild and extravagant parties? High jumps? Skydiving in Costa Rica? A weekend in Vegas? All part of the goals of being in the LDB.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Titus, and Lillian
Kimmy’s got the best squad; an aspiring actor gay bestie and an eccentric old landlord with quite a few battle stories to tell. They make catchy music videos, encourage each other’s makeovers, and naturally, they always help each other with their shenanigans. We’re totally jealous.
Ruby, Mulan, and Merida, Once Upon a Time
When these ladies teamed up to fight bad guys, we realized how awesome and bad-ass it is for a group of girls to be the heroes in a story. We hope that we see more of their adventures and that someday we’ll be cool enough to fight alongside them too.
Buffy’s Scooby Gang
A slayer, a vampire, a couple of witches, a key, and an ex-vengence demon? Somehow they put their differences aside and make up the greatest group of friends the sci-fi universe has ever seen. Nothing stops them from being there for each other, even death. How do we join the Scoobies?
The Golden Girls
Come on, guys. This one’s obvious! Even when you get older, you still need a core group of buddies. These ladies give us hope that sixty years from now we’ll still be this tight with our pals. And of course, we’ll thank them for still being our friends.
