Frank: Mrs. Martin, you are looking for a reason to explain this tragedy, and I'm afraid you will never find one that is good enough.
Erin: I cannot make a case on gut instincts. I need facts, evidence. And I would be saying this to any Reagan. I'd say it to Jamie or to Danny too.
Eddie: I am not a Reagan!

Eddie: I am with you but I am not one of you. I didn't have a father who was a paragon of virtue to break bread with every Sunday. I bring something different to the table. I don't have good instincts because I'm a Reagan. I have good instincts because my father is a criminal and I saw something in this girl, something you can't see.
It's my job. It's the hardest part of my job but I have to do it. And no matter how she feels about me, she gets a pass. My shoulders are just gonna have to be broad enough to take some of the burden off of hers.
Frank
Walter: It's more complicated. Things were going on that I am not at liberty to stay.
Frank: So you're going to let me blame myself?
Walter: You're going to blame yourself You're going to carry this around with you. But there was nothing we could do.
Frank: I refuse to believe there is nothing we can do to prevent suicides.
Walter: We've prevented dozens of suicides.
Frank: We didn't prevent this one. One is one too many. It always will be.
So. Officer Martin is #11. Which means we have had more suicides than line of duty fatalities. So help me.
Frank
Erin: I'm gonna need something more than a gut instinct.
Eddie: Sure. Right. Cause I'm not a detective, so I should just walk away.
Frank: Mrs. Martin, I'm so sorry. I -
Rosemary: Save it. I don't want to hear it. How many officers have to die before we admit the truth that nobody has their back out there? You killed him.
Sid: I don't know how you do it. Consoling. I wouldn't know what to say.
Frank: You say as little as possible. You're there to represent all of us.
Danny: Locked up and still causing trouble, huh?
Delgado: Only thing I'm good at.
Erin: You okay?
Eddie: I'm used to detectives being territorial. No offense.
Erin: I mean, you seem to have doubts about this case.
Anthony: Something you want to share with us?
Eddie: Yeah, those two are lying through their teeth.
