ADDISON
Meredith: Hi.
DEREK: [walks into elevator] "Hi. Leaving?"
MEREDITH: "80-hour limit. You?"
DEREK: "Surgery was postponed." [smiles]
MEREDITH: [pauses] "I have a dog."
DEREK: "You have a dog."
MEREDITH: "My point is, I have a dog."
DEREK: [smiles] "You have a dog. Oh, and you know what? I love dogs."
MEREDITH: "I've moved on, so don't give me that look."
DEREK: "What look?"
MEREDITH: "That look. Our look. I'm over you."
DEREK: "I'm over you, too."

DEREK: "No."

DEREK: "I'm over you too."

IZZIE: "That's not a dog, this is a hyena that escaped from the zoo and dressed up in a dog's clothing."
GEORGE: "Whatever. I don't chew up his clothes. I don't urinate on his bed. I don't try to mount him from behind."
IZZIE: "Mount you from behind?"
GEORGE: "He tried to."
[narrating] "Fresh starts thanks to the calendar they happen every year. Just set your watch to January, our reward for surviving the holiday season. Bringing on the great tradition of new years resolutions, put your past behind you and start over. It’s hard to resist the chance for a new beginning, a chance to put the problems of last year to bed."
MEREDITH
RICHARD: "So don't move here for Derek. Move for you."
ADDISON: "Excuse me?"
RICHARD: "With your practice based here, and the money I'll put into promoting you, you'll be one of the biggest names outside Manhattan."
ADDISON: "You're serious?"
RICHARD: "I'm ready to put my money where my mouth is."
NICOLE: "I'm like the oldest living prospective college freshman not to go to first base."
ALEX: "Don't worry. There are way bigger losers than you, trust me."
[narrating] "At the end of the day, there are some things you just can't help but talk about. Some things we just don't want to hear, and some things we say because we can't be silent any longer. MEREDITH
[shakes her head] "Pissing off the nurses. Stupid move."
MIRANDA
PRESTON: "I don't want preferential treatment."
RICHARD: "And you're not gonna get it. You're not married, you're not hiding. You came to me. You clearly value your relationship. What you two have together, I understand that, Preston, and it does matter."
MIRANDA: [steps in front of Derek] "No. Turn around and walk away."
DEREK: "From what?"
MIRANDA: "From my intern!"
DEREK: "No, I wasn’t going-"
MIRANDA: "Yes you were. Come on. You can’t do this. You don’t have the right. Not anymore."
DEREK: "I just want to find out if she's okay."
MIRANDA: "She's not. She's a human traffic accident, and everybody's slowing down to look at the wreckage. She's doing the best she can with what she has left, and I know you can't see this, 'cause you're in it, but you can't help her now! You'll only make it worse. So walk away. Go!"
