Rick Springfield is set to guest star on Californication in a role he ought to know very well:
Himself.
According to Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly, the singer/actor will appear on four episodes of Californication‘s third season, which airs this fall.
Earlier this month, producers of the Showtime series put out a casting call looking for “an actor who experienced huge fame in the 80’s to play themselves as a now down-on his-luck-ex-celebrity waiting tables to get by.”
Enter Springfield, previously seen on General Hospital. He’ll reportedly take part in a bit of “tasteful nudity” and “simulated sex” on the show.
Millions of soap opera followers and “Jessie’s Girl” listeners just screamed their lungs out.
