Recap

A family moves into their new home, and soon after the young son Alex runs inside, various explosions take place across the neighborhood.

Maddie and Chimney talk separately with Buck and Hen about how they have been coping in the aftermath of Doug's attack.

Harry's class comes to Station 118 for the day and Michael overhears Harry talking about how cool Booby is with his classmate. Later, Harry and his friend light a fire on his friends lawn and put it out, mimicking Bobby's job. This leads to an argument between Michael and Harry, which leads Harry to run away to the fire station.

The power goes out at the 911 call center, causing the team to work with walkie talkies and use a map of the city to assist callers.

A woman goes into labor, and 118 is initially sent to the wrong address. When they arrive at the correct address, they aid the woman in giving birth, but soon after she goes into cardiac arrest. Once they arrive at the hospital, they call her time of death. Her husband talks to her and places their newborn child on her chest, sparking her heart to start beating again.

The firefighters arrive at the scene of the residential fires and Buck attempts to use a ladder to get to Alex, but it breaks. Eddie climbs the side of the house and is able to get to Alex, but he can't find a way out.

Seeing what is happening on television, Chimney phones a friend that works in another station and they send water tankers to put out the fires. Eddie is able to shield Alex from the water and they leave the house unscathed.

Maddie and Chimney have their first date, but both decide they need more time to heal.

Hen: So I guess Maddie still sparks joy?
Chimney: Always.

I got stabbed and it totally sucked. Then I remembered something a wise man once said; life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
