Aida tells an unconscious Agent May that she'll have to stay hidden until her LMD can fulfill its purpose. Director Mace tells the team that they must dispose of the Darkhold and wipe Aida's hard drive so that she doesn't retain any of the Darkhold's information.

Senator Nadeer's brother, Vijay – the young man who had been in the Terrigenesis cocoon – wakes up. Simmons and Daisy identify the man from the cocoon as Vijay and realize Senator Nadeer must be hiding him. Daisy tells Director Mace she wants to pursue the Watchdogs, but he tells her that instead they're going to rescue Vijay.

Radcliffe and Fitz try to wipe Aida's hard drive but she resists them, disarming the agents they brought with them. Senator Nadeer grills Vijay about the seven months he spent in the Terrigenesis cocoon. Director Mace, Simmons and Daisy plot a way into Senator Nadeer's house to get Vijay, while the rest of the team discusses what to do about Aida.

Senator Nadeer leads Vijay into a Watchdog trap. She associates the Inhumans with the Chitauri attack that killed their mother and wants to rid the world of all Inhumans, even her brother. However, Vijay claims to have successfully resisted the Inhuman transformation. He convinces her to command the Watchdogs to let him go. 

The team realizes that Aida has taken control of her entire operating system. Aida calls the team and demands the Darkhold. Coulson refuses, so Aida shuts off power at the base. 

LMD May tries to stop Aida, but Aida makes some modifications to her instead. Radcliffe and Fitz debate whether or not Aida is now capable of feeling real emotions and, if so, if she is now more human than android. 

Director Mace, Daisy and Simmons walk into Senator Nadeer's house. Daisy is able to identify the senator's guards as members of the Watchdogs. The senator refuses to let them search the house for VIjay. 

Coulson tells LMD May where they've hidden the Darkhold, unaware that Aida is listening in. Aida grabs the Darkhold, but Fitz and Radcliffe intercept her. The Watchdogs come after Vijay but his power activates: he's able to anticipate and dodge their blows.

The team manages to deactivate Aida. Simmons tries to convince Vijay to join S.H.I.E.L.D., but he decides to stay with his sister instead. Senator Nadeer takes him into a helicopter and shoots him dead. 

Radcliffe plots with a new model of Aida. Turns out, he was the one who asked the original Aida to get the Darkhold. Now, he's relying on LMD May to do it instead.
