Ness has to defend Camilla, and she isn't thrilled about it since Camilla's boyfriend wants to record everything. Someone died from Camilla's cosmetics since she continued to sell contaminated products. She's a pain as she insists she doesn't even need those products.

DA Bravo reviews policies and is removing cash bail for less serious offenses. He's also putting a hold on gang enhancement and trying juveniles as adults.

Things are changing, and DA Bravo announces the new Head Deputy DA, Mark Callan. While everyone else cheers, both Mark and Maggie look stunned.

Mark didn't want this, while Maggie did, and DA Bravo essentially tells them both to deal with it.

Teddy sees Sara using the NKTR cosmetics and warns her about them. Andre approaches Luke and invites him to join his firm.

Sherri spots Ness looking nervous as she prepares her notes in court. She reminds her the cameras will be on, so she doesn't want to show fear.

Amy and Camilla arrive as cameras follow them in. Amy tries to blow the press off. Ness tries to dismiss the murder and poisoning charges, but Maggie argues it was Camilla's business. Lola agrees that Camilla didn't stop selling her products after she got a court order.

Maggie interviews a former employee, Ms. Suskin, and learns Camilla never seemed concerned about the court order. Ms. Suskin became ill shortly after that court order and was vomiting blood.

Ness then questions her and announces that Ms. Suskin was convicted of health insurance fraud.

Camilla wants to testify because that witness ruined her character. Amy tries to reason with her, but Camilla refuses to listen.

Amy interviews her, and Camilla spins it that she's no longer living for success but to be a value for others. As she testifies, Teddy googles the movies Camilla has acted in to see if she's quoting her past lines.

Ness runs into Luke on her break at a nearby cafe. He congratulates her on her first case, and he relates it to defending people who have done bad things.

Lola is being interviewed, and as things turn messy, Andre shows up at her chambers. They get rid of him.

Teddy cross-examines Camilla and quotes her last statements from previous acting roles, making it appear she's on the stand acting yet another role. Maggie looks happier, whereas Amy and Ness look worried.

Mark, Amy, and Vic sit around the patio. Vic admits he doesn't have the right, but he's so proud of Mark. Amy gives the men time alone, and the father and son share another drink.

Lule congratulates Mark on his promotion and mentions that Andre wants to recruit him. Mark makes the mistake of mentioning this to Emily, who is hurt that Luke never mentioned this.

She confronts Luke, who states that he doesn't want to leave the PD. While he wants kids, he wants to be with her more. They end up making up in his office.

Maggie interviews Camilla's boyfriend about an audio clip he sold to TMZ for $50,000. When Lola grants permission to play it, everyone hears Camilla say she doesn't even use her products, and it's all an act.

Ness finds Camilla breaking down in the restroom and convinces her to drop the act. The jury finds her not guilty of murder but guilty of poisoning.

Amy summons Vic. She knows something is wrong, and she doesn't want it to affect Mark's new job. He won't say anything but decides it would be best if he left.

Lola tells Andre everything is over between them. He's forced to accept that finally.

Everyone showed up to the cocktail party for Mark's promotion. When Mark returns home, he finds his father beaten up on his porch. He owed money and was involved with the Russian mob.

The mob wants Mark to throw a case, but Vic cautions him not to.
