Blue Bloods Season 12 Episode 2 is all about people keeping secrets.

Jamie is confused when Eddie ends up in the hospital downtown with a sprained ankle, as she was supposedly uptown with her girlfriends. The paramedics say this was the closest hospital to where she twisted her ankle. Jamie keeps trying to find out what was going on but Eddie keeps lying to him and being secretive. Eventually, he follows her, which angers her.

Meanwhile, Anthony also has a secret: an envelope he keeps showing the Reagans that pertains to Erin, but they keep telling him they're not touching this. Jamie runs into Erin in the hall after visiting Anthony. He thinks Eddie is up to something. She thinks Anthony is. Jamie runs away.

Elsewhere, Danny uses the only leverage he has to try to get a gang member to talk after a beating, but it backfires when the guy gets beat up and ends up in the hospital himself. Baez and Erin are angry at him and he doesn't understand why when he's just trying to make the city safer.

And finally, Frank's petty disagreement with the mayor could have serious consequences when Frank refuses to apologize just to soothe the mayor's ego.
