Angelus watches over Buffy at night while she sleeps. She wakes up and finds a drawing of her sleeping next to her.

Buffy wants to find a way to keep Angelus out of her home. Random students appear in the library; it forces the Scoobies to leave and chat elsewhere.

Jenny Calendar asks Willow to look after her class while she's out doing an errand. Buffy gives Jenny the cold shoulder. Jenny tells Giles that she loves him, but he's still confused about what to do.

Buffy tells her mother that her and Angel used to date. She warns her not to talk to him or let him in.

Willow finds her fish dead and tied together in an envelope. It's a gift from Angelus.

Drusilla experiences a vision of the Jenny Calendar trying to return Angelus's soul.

Jenny purchases a sphere that can help Angelus get his soul back.

Buffy gives her consent to Jenny that she can date Giles again. Buffy can tell that Giles misses her a lot and loves her.

Cordelia, Buffy and Willow find another drawing, but this time it's in Willow's room. The drawing is of Joyce.

Angelus reveals to Joyce that he took Buffy's virginity. Willow conducts a spell that forces Angelus out of Buffy's house. He can no longer enter it of his own free will.

Giles and Jenny plan to see each other later that night. Jenny uncovers the translation for the spell to bring Angel back, but Angelus is watching her from a desk.

Angelus destroys the orb and burns the printed spell. He chases Jenny throughout the school and captures her. He snaps her neck.

Buffy and Joyce have "the talk."

Giles arrives at home to find a surprise; he thinks Jenny left him a treat. He discovers a dead Jenny in his bed; it's a sick joke by Angelus.

Giles plots to kill Angelus in retaliation. He breaks into the warehouse and sets it on fire. Buffy arrives in time to stop Angelus from killing Giles, but she's unable to kill Angelus yet.

The floppy disk of the translation on Jenny's desk falls between the desk.
