Faith and Buffy hunt down vampires together in the cemetery; Faith asks her if she ever slept with Xander. The vampire's weapons go missing after Faith stakes him.

Mr. Trick delivers the blades to Mayor Wilkins. The mayor plans to hold his dedication so that the next phase of his plan will begin.

Willow gets early admission to many universities around the world. Xander is less optimistic about his own future.

Wesley, the new Watcher, arrives in Sunnydale and he doesn't impress Buffy, Faith or Giles. He discovers that the slain vampire belonged to a vampire cult that worshipped a dead demon.

Buffy inspects Balthazar's tomb, but vampires arrive to steal the amulet. Faith ignores Buffy's warnings and jumps into the manhole to chase the vampires; Buffy joins her.

Faith and Buffy fight the vampires. Buffy nearly gets drowned by one of the enemies, but the pair survives the fight. They retrieve the amulet.

Xander's eye keeps twitching whenever someone mentions Faith's name. While Willow, Xander, and Buffy do their math test, Faith crashes the room. Buffy leaves with Faith to crash a vampire nest.

Buffy and Faith enjoy the uninhibited feeling of dancing after the slaying. Angel warns Buffy about Balthazar; they get the amulet from Wesley to hide it.

Balthazar is very much alive. He's overweight and confined to a tub until he gets his amulet. The Slayers spot him in the warehouse.

Faith and Buffy break into a sports store to steal weapons for their battle; Faith urges her to steal. Police officers arrive to arrest them; they escape police custody by causing the car to crash.

Joyce wants to bake pancakes for Buffy, but she lost her hunger.

One of the vampire cult members tries to assassinate the mayor. Mr. Trick knocks him out.

Willow wants to go slaying, but Buffy thinks it's too dangerous for her to go. Buffy doesn't take the protection spell that Willow made her.

Giles and Wesley are kidnapped by the vampire servants.

Buffy and Faith fight vampires in the alleyway. Faith accidentally stabs the Deputy Mayor Allan (who is human), but he dies from blood loss. Faith urges Buffy to run away and leave the body.

Wesley is terrified and doesn't want to die; he's willing to give Balthazar the information to find the amulet. Angel and Buffy break up the capture and save their friends.

Before his death, Balthazar warns Buffy of a mysterious foe who will rise and be her undoing.

Mayor Wilkins completes his ritual and becomes invincible. The vampire servant slices his head with a sword, but the attack repairs itself.

Buffy visits Faith to talk about the death. Faith doesn't want to talk about the murder; she's disposed of the body. She doesn't care about what happened.
