Giles helps Buffy practice her SATs in the graveyard.

Mr. Trick agrees to help Mayor Wilkins perform a ritual in Sunnydale. The ritual involves the help of a demon and a sacrifice.

Buffy frets over her SATs, but she'll have to study more. Principal Snyder forces all of the students to sell band candy to fundraise for the candy.

Joyce doesn't want Buffy to drive because of her fear that Buffy will take off again. Giles helps Buffy train her awareness studies while being blindfolded. Both buy chocolates from her.

Buffy lies to Joyce and Files to sneak away. She uses her extra time to check up on Angel; he's doing tai chi. Buffy doesn't tell him that Scott broke up with her.

Joyce and Giles confront Buffy about her lies; they know that she's been using them against each other. Buffy wants some freedom.

Ethan Rayne is back in town and he's the one manufacturing the chocolate bars.

Willow and Xander are flirting in their class; their legs are touching beneath the table. They're interrupted when the teacher, Ms. Barton, enters the class and wants to ditch class early.

Buffy visits Giles and finds her mother at his place. Joyce gives her the keys to leave; Joyce and Giles act weird once Buffy leaves the place.

Buffy drives too fast.

All of the adults in town start acting like teenagers again, especially Giles and Joyce. The adults start partying at the Bronze.

Mr. Trick kills an employee at the chocolate factory to warn everyone not to eat the candy. He's the one who hired Ethan to produce the band candy.

Giles breaks into a retail store to steal a coat for Joyce. They hook up on the roof of a cop car after knocking out a police officer.

The Scoobies realize that the candy is the cause of the adults acting like teenagers. Principal Snyder doesn't know where it came from.

Buffy and Snyder visit the factory to find the adults begging for more candy; they find Joyce and Giles making out. The four of them break into the factory to find Ethan. They chance him down to get the info from him.

Ethan reveals that the demon needing a tribute is Laconis. The tributes are human babies and it's needed every 30 years. Meanwhile, vampires kidnap babies from the hospital.

Mr. Trick, Mayor Wilkins, and the vampires conduct the ritual. However, Buffy, Giles, and Joyce barge into the sewer to stop it. Buffy breaks a gas line to light Lakonis on fire.

The next day at school, all of the adults revert back to normal. Principal Snyder forces the Scoobies to clean up some of the graffiti.

Buffy takes her SATs and feels worried about her math scores. Giles and Joyce act weird around each other because what they did under the candy.
