Buffy settles into being home, but Joyce isn't adjusted to the noise. She smashes a wall when Buffy tells her she wants to find her friends.

The Scoobies are hunting for vampires in alleyways. Buffy crashes their party and stakes the vampire.

The group visits Giles to inform them that Buffy is back. Giles is overcome with emotion, but he's sad. Willow agrees to hangout with Buffy.

Principal Snyder refuses to let Buffy back into Sunnydale High.

Willow doesn't arrive to the coffee house for her hangout with Buffy.

Buffy meets Pat, a friend of Joyce's from book club. Joyce feels inspired to invite Buffy's friends for dinner. Buffy finds a dead stray cat in the basement while searching for the good dishes. She and Joyce bury it in the yard.

The mask in Joyce's room starts glowing and the cat returns from the dead.

Buffy has a dream about Angel.

Joyce and Buffy bicker about the reality of her school situation; she might have to go to private school. The dead cat runs into the house and Giles has to come to take it away.

The Scoobies think it would be a good idea to turn Buffy's dinner into a house party. They invite a bunch of people over; the party gets big.

Buffy asks Willow if everything is alright since she was acting weird. Willow said everything was cool.

Some recent people in Sunnydale start returning back from the dead due to the mask.

Buffy overhears Joyce telling Pat that she feels uncomfortable with her pack home. Buffy starts packing a bag and plans to run away.

Zombies start converging on the Summers's home.

Giles drives his car and hits someone. The person turns out to be a zombie.

Willow walks in on Buffy packing her bag; the two have an honest discussion. Joyce walks in and is mad that Buffy planned to leave again. The Scoobies get into a major argument in the middle of the party.

Zombies break into the party and start hurting the guests. The party-goers try barricading the place, but the zombies force their way inside. Pat is murdered by a zombie.

Pat awakens from the dead and puts on the mask. The mask merges with her face; she blinks light to stun enemies.

Buffy charges at Pat and they end up breaking through a window onto the back lawn. She grabs a shovel and stabs Pat in the eyes, killing her.

Giles threatens Principal Snyder. He tells him that he needs to bring Buffy back.

Buffy and Willow bury the hatchet over all their troubles.
