Abby Smith, a popular blogger who posted funny photos on the internet is stabbed to death in her own home and her killer posts photos of her dead body on an internet site called Snapomatic. As the team from the 12th invetigate, the killer sends them photos as clues to his next victim. Unfortunately they figure out the message too late and Cam Magani, known as a Snapomatic Spoiled Brat has his throat slashed in his own car.

When the killer posts a photo of Castle and Beckett enjoying coffee with a caption that makes it appear they aren't taking the case seriouslly, 1PP considers taking Beckett off the case but Gates backs her up. Later, surveillance photos and a link to a retired cyber crimes cop leads the detectives to Adam Lane, a guy who was bullied in high school. Although the detective at the time was able to take the humilating videos down, he couldn't convince the DA to press charges. Now Adam has taken matters into his own hands and killed his bully along with others using social media. He even has the creators of Snapomatic at a secret location where one of them will die if they don't get enough LIKES online.
