Dr. Charles insists on paying for Sharon's coffee. It is her birthday and she shares it with her grandchild. Her family is meeting Dennis for the first time tonight. She has to get to a meeting. She asks Daniel how things are going at hoe. They're strained.

Archer meets with Margot. She talks about her daughterwho just broke up with her girlfriend.

Peter tell Ripley that juries are unpredictable and it's best to settle even though Ripley did nothing wrong. Ripley's phone buzzes. He has to get back to the ED. Peter says he'll get him the settlement paperwork. Sharon says hold on, it's up to you. Ripley wants to think it over. Peter sees no reason to think. Ripley leaves. Peter says they are settling. Is it true the renegade was canned? No, she is suspended.

Accident victim incoming. Not conscious. Tarchycardic.

Second victim is brought in. Meanwhile Ripley notices an abnromality on the kidney. The second victim may not make it. A bunch of people run in mkaing a lot of noise and yelling the victims don't consent to treatment and taking out their IV without permission.. Security finally gets rid of them and a nurse replaces the IV. Maggie tells Ripley apparently they're cult members.

The cult members have all been removed and extra security posted outside. The group is called Heal Thyself. They are anti-government and believe that bi pharma is incentivized to keep people sick wrc.

Dr. Johnson offers to help out but Maggie tells him to get some sleep. He says he has an ulterior motive and almost knocks over another nurse because he's not paying attention. Maggie claims they're just friends and the other nurse asks her to put a word in for her because she likes him.

Liliana comes to see Daniel. She has a gift for Sharon but says Pavel needs her help so she's not going to make it to the party. She says he's her brother. He says do you think he really can't drive? She says she's surre Ripley didn't mean to hurt Pavel but he did.

The cult patient wakes up and wants the blood pressure meds out. Ripley says she has a rare cancer on her adrenal gland. He wants to operate oon as possible. he says she doesn't want surgery or any medical intervention. She smiles like a Stepford wife and aays she will put her wishes in writing.

Marcel has to work with Tanaka-Reed. Archer decides to be snarky. The patient has been hit by a car while jogging. Tanaka-Reed and Marcel disagree a bout treatment. The pelvis is broken. Marcel is called away to look at labs. Tanaka-Reed says he can bind a pelvis without supervision and asks Maggie what his deal is today.

Ripley apologizes to Hannah again. She tells him to stop. She gets it. What's going on with the lawsuit? He says he's not thrilled about settling because he doesn't like to walk away from a fight, especially when this guy messed up their tea.

Sam Abrams' wife comes in with a screaming baby. She says Mason fell and won't stop crying. She's scared something is really wrong.

Mrs. Abramas says Mason fell when she unbuckled him from his stroller. Archer wants to get an x-ray. Abrams comes running and asks a lot of questions. Archer and Hannah reassure him that everything is fine.

Marcel's patient is clearing the sepsis and needs a transplant ASAP.

Ripley tells Charles about the cult and how they refuse medicine, surgery, etc. Charles says he'll talk to her but he can't commit her because of her belief system. Ripley wants him to deprogram her but deporgramming usually involves kidnapping etc.

Marcel overhears Ripley and Zac talking. The other accident victim is brain dead. Maybe  her brother will donate organs.

Marcel orders Tanaka Reed's patient to go to the OR. Tanaka-Reed is annoyed.

Mason's x-ray is back. He has a fracture but not serious. Hannah doesn't understand why Archer seems upset. He think the fracture is suspect. These types of fractures come from direct, blunt force trauma. They must loop Sharon in.

0haron say they need to notify DCFS. Hannah doesn't believe it because it's Sam and Michelle. Sharon says that would be preferential treatment. Hannah says but they could lose their baby over nothing. Sharon says we don't know what's going on and have to err at the side of caution. She'll talk to the Abrams. Archer says no it should come from them.

Ripley is standing around looking concerned too. Charle stells him he didn't get anywhere. Ripley has an idea. There is no evidence Dakota actually had cancer. He thinks they should break HIPAA to tell Shayna the truth. People are refusing care because of Dakota's brainwashing. A nurse calls them. Shayna's blood pressure is super high and won't accept medication. She says she doesn't want their poison.

Tanaka-Reed is annoyed that Marcel is instructing him as if he i a first-year. He makes the incision.

Dr. Charles talks with Dakota's brother. Dakota's brother says she wanted to help people and went about iit the wrong way. Charles tells him that another patient is refusing treatment because of Dakota. He says he didn't believe her nonsense about curing her own brain cancer but he didn't want to lose her altogether by confronting her. She had demons but he loved her very much and now he's losing her forever.Charles suggests he could help the young woman.

Abrams gets angry and says they are leaving. Archer blocks the door and says they cannot leave without DCFS approval.

Marcel is trying to finish with the pelvis patient. Tanaka Reed gets mad and tells him to do it himself if he's not moving fast enough.

Charles introduces Dakota's brother to Shayna.  She won't believe that Dakota is dying and say she can heal herself.

Asher goes to check on the Abrams. Michelle says she wants to talk in private. They can't take the baby from Sam. He hasn't done anything wrong. It was all her. She says she was doing work in bed he woke up early and was crying so she brought him into bed with her and he was on hher chest. She fell asleep and her laptop fell on Mason on the floor. Sam comes in and she tells him it was her fault. Hannah gives them privacy.

Maggie asks Marcel what was that? Was he trying to break Kai's confidence? She says he was breathing down Kai's neck. This is about Zola. Marcel says that he was clearly too lax with Zola and can't let that happen again. Maggie says this was not Marcel's fault but it's not Kai's either.

Archer tells Asher DCFS has to do a home visit and Michelle has to take a parenting class. He tells Hannah he told a lie too. He didn't want to tell Margot he didn't know what Sean's first heartbreak was. Hannah suggests he let himself be vulnerable so he can have a real  relationship.

Ripley tells Charles that Shayna has finally agreed to treatment. But will the other followers ever get it?  Charles asks about the lawsuit. Ripley thinks he has to settle. Charles says Pavel has a gambling problem and needs to learn he can't use other people as pawns. Ripley says time he got that message, then.

At Sharon's, Charles compliments her sweater. Dennis comes to the door. Charles watches as Dennis meets Tara and Michael. Dennis has a gift for Bert and Isaiah. It's blocks. Bert seems to be having a good day and recalls that he likes to build with Isaiiah.

Maggie tells Trisha she can't help her with Loren. Trisha realizes Maggie likes him and warns her she'd better make her move before she loses out.

Marcel tells Tanaka-Reed his pace is fine and he needs not to time himself.

Zac says unfortunately Dakota was not a match for Carson Miller.

Margot asks if Sean knows they're seeing each other. ARcher admits there was a time he and Sean weren't talking.   He admits he cut Sean off when he was using. Margot can't imagine not speaking to her daughter. But she has never dealt with addiction as a parent. Dean says there's no excuse for what he did and he's not making any. She says the way he shows up for Sean now is beautiful. She doesn't see any red flags.

Bert is ready for bed and has forgotten that he is not married to Sharon anymore. He gets angry. Tara tries to help him and he knocks something over. He doesn't want his son touching him. They take him to the couch. Sharon sings to him. He realzies this isn't his house and he's not married to Sharon and begins to cry.
