Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 19 revolves around ethical questions.

When Will and Asher treat a pregnant mother, she tells them that she was originally a surrogate but that the parents wanted the pregnancy terminated. So in her opinion, she now is the child's mother. However, Will tells Asher that they have to contact the biological parents and verify this story.

The biological parents soon arrive and are angry that Ingrid failed to terminate as agreed, but when the baby is born healthy they are thrilled that they have a healthy child after all. But Ingrid doesn't want to give the baby up.

Meanwhile, Marcel and Charles treat a man who is on a hunger strike and is near death because he won't allow the doctors to give him a feeding tube. Lonnie knows this patient and is worried that this is a new way to attempt suicide. Charles says they can't force him to eat, but Lonnie goes to court and gets an order requiring them to insert the feeding tube.

Finally, Scott treats a young girl who claims not to be drinking but whose blood alcohol content is going up exponentially.
