Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 21 revolves around incovenient truths.

When Vanessa again asks Maggie about her bio dad, Maggie promises to contact him. But she tells Sharon she doesn't want to. Maggie doesn't want to upend the man's life after all this time, but more than that: Now that she's found happiness with Ben, she doesn't want to risk reconnecting with her old flame and falling for him instead. Sharon encourages her not to think so far ahead. Maggie goes off with Ben to celebrate his CT scan being clear.

Meanwhile, a pregnant patient comes into the hospital who feels her mother is causing her a lot of stress during the pregnancy. Her symptoms suggest preeclampsia, but Hannah has reason to suspect she has a pregnancy-related liver condition. Hannah and Will ask Marcel to do a liver biopsy, which Marcel thinks is risky, and Hannah gets annoyed with Will trying to speak for her.

Finally, Vanessa and Charles work together to try to find out what's wrong with a motivational speaker who has vague symptoms and no apparent medical cause.
